Thunderbird Resources (ASX:THB) said initial results from first-pass rock chip sampling program as part of an ongoing maiden exploration program at the Kookabookra and Rockvale gold-antimony projects in New South Wales confirmed mineralization, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

The initial on-ground exploration work is focused on priority targets where historical high-grade gold, silver and antimony assay results have been returned.

Detailed geological mapping and soil sampling is being planned for the Achill prospect at Rockvale.

It is now conducting a follow-up program at Kookabookra with a soil sampling program recently completed to help identify drill targets for testing in the third quarter.
