The official marketing lead of the Shiba Inu team, known to the community under the pseudonym Lucie, has addressed the SHIB army with a reminder of the major contribution made by the SHIB team to the SHIB meme token and its ecosystem.
Lucie enumerated 13 bullet points, underscoring the SHIB developer team's efforts to support and improve the second-largest meme cryptocurrency, Shiba Inu. While recapping the SHIB ream’s milestones, Lucie referred to the official Shiba Inu website as the source.
Lucie started from the very beginning, when the SHIB team “embraced SHIB after creation” in 2020. The meme coin “was launched by Ryoshi as a decentralized ERC-20 token.” There was no presale, no token allocation for the team. The SHIB team emerged later, adopting the project and expanding it significantly.
The following year, in 2021, the SHIB team built the ShibaSwap DEX, adding a DeFi utility for SHIB. In 2023, the team, under Shytoshi Kusama’s leadership, released the layer-2 solution Shibarium on top of Ethereum. It was followed by the launch of the automatic SHIB burn system via Shibarium.
Lucie stressed that after that, among other things, the SHIB team achieved numerous listings on leading and smaller exchanges, more than a hundred of them, including Binance, OKX, Kraken, Coinbase, etc.
Among the SHIB team’s major milestones, Lucie also mentioned “secured real-world adoption,” expanding SHIB into gaming and NFTs, the release of the Metaverse, SHIB OS and many others. The final important thing she underscored was that the SHIB team “honors Ryoshi’s vision.”
According to the wallet tracker Shibburn, over the past week, the SHIB community has managed to dispose of an impressive amount of 121,306,938 meme coins. That propelled the weekly burn rate up 96.05%.
As for daily burns, at the moment, this metric is sitting below zero, showing minus 99.97% with only 14,444 SHIB transferred to unspendable wallets.
