Softbank, G42, OpenAI, and Partners to Build Stargate UAE AI Infrastructure

SoftBank Group (TYO:9984), G42, OpenAI, Oracle, NVIDIA, and Cisco entered into a partnership to construct Stargate UAE, according to a joint statement on Thursday.

G42 will build the 1-gigawatt AI compute cluster within the newly established 5-gigawatt UAE-US AI campus in Abu Dhabi, while OpenAI and Oracle will operate it.

Cisco will provide zero-trust security and AI-ready connectivity, and NVIDIA will supply the latest NVIDIA Grace Blackwell GB300 systems.

The first 200-megawatt of the AI cluster is expected to go live in 2026.
