WinVest Acquisition Corp. has announced a change in its independent registered public accounting firm following the acquisition of Marcum LLP's attest business by CBIZ CPAs P.C. Marcum, previously serving as WinVest's accounting firm, resigned on May 14, 2025, and the company's Audit Committee approved this resignation. Consequently, CBIZ has been engaged as the new accounting firm for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025. Notably, there were no disagreements between WinVest and Marcum regarding accounting principles or practices, though a material weakness was identified in internal controls over financial reporting. This included issues related to the protection of funds, compliance with an investment management trust agreement, and incorrect tax filings in Delaware, as revealed in WinVest's 2024 Annual Report.
