Hong Kong Stocks End Week Higher; Hengrui Pharma, Mirxes Surge in Debut

Hong Kong stocks rose slightly on Friday to close the week in green, buoyed by multiple strong market debuts.

The Hang Seng Index edged up 0.2%, or 56.95 points, to end at 23,601.26. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index rose 0.3%, or 26.22 points, to 8,583.86.

Two firms saw a stellar trading debut on the Hong Kong bourse on Friday.

Singapore-headquartered micro ribonucleic acid technology company Mirxes Holding (HKG:2629) finished at HK$30 per share, up almost 29% from its IPO price of HK$23.30.

Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals (HKG:1276, SHA:600276) closed at HK$55.15 per share, up 25% from its IPO price of HK$44.05.

Earlier this week, CATL (HKG:3750, SHE:300750) also made a strong market debut. The battery giant raised over HK$35 billion from its Hong Kong IPO, reportedly the world's largest listing so far this year, according to Reuters.
