BlockBeats News, May 22, according to CoinDesk, the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) plans to build a proprietary Layer-1 blockchain based on Avalanche.

BlockBeats previously reported that, according to official sources, FIFA is set to launch an EVM-compatible chain called the "FIFA Blockchain," and its NFT marketplace "FIFA+Collect" will migrate to the new chain. The new chain will improve performance and scalability. Assets within the NFT marketplace "FIFA+Collect" will be automatically migrated, with little change to user experience. However, collectibles exported off-chain must be re-imported by May 20 or they will not be tradable on the new platform.
