Three Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers make up three of the top four spots in the auto category of a future readiness report by the International Institute for Management Development (IMD).
BYD (SHE:002594, HKG:1211) overtook Tesla in the future readiness rankings, an indicator referring to a company's ability to anticipate and adapt to external changes.
"BYD has erased Tesla's once-unassailable lead, and Chinese dominance in the automotive sector is deepening, with three Chinese manufacturers taking up the top four positions," IMD said.
Geely (HKG:0175) and Li Auto (HKG:2015) occupy two of the top four spots, Xinhua News reported.
