Nimy Resources (ASX:NIM) completed 11 drill holes as part of its phase two drilling program at the Block 3 prospect at its Mons project in Western Australia, with nine holes intersecting schist lithology, a host rock for gallium mineralization, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The samples from the drill holes were submitted for geochemical assays, and the first results are expected in three weeks.
It commenced phase three drilling, which will test for gallium mineralization beyond the original exploration target as well as the recently discovered outcropping schist.
Ongoing reconnaissance fieldwork at the prospect is focused on investigating extensions of the gallium discovery.
