NSG Group has announced the completion of a new 2.0 MWp photovoltaic solar array at its Ottawa facility in Illinois, USA. The solar array, which will generate approximately 3.9 GWh of renewable electricity annually, is owned and operated by SolAmerica Energy. The energy generated will be supplied to the Ottawa facility for 15 years under a power purchase agreement. The solar array utilizes over 5,000 advanced thin film Series 7 solar modules produced by First Solar, incorporating NSG Group's solar energy glass products. This project is part of NSG Group's ongoing global solar energy initiatives and supports their commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2030, with the ultimate goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
