Equinox Resources Receives Exploration Permit for Canada Project; Shares Rise 5%

Equinox Resources (ASX:EQN) secured an exploration permit for the Alturas project in Canada from the British Columbia Ministry of Mining and Critical Minerals, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.

The permit will enable drilling, induced polarization geophysical surveys, geochemical sampling, and low-impact exploration activities, the filing said.

A second application is in progress for the bulk sampling program to evaluate the metallurgy and direct shipping ore potential of the project, per the filing.

Shares rose 5% in afternoon trade Friday.
