1119 GMT - ING's operations in Spain benefit from being part of an international bank with a market cap nearing 60 billion euros while operating as a fintech in the country, the CEO for the Dutch bank's Spanish and Portuguese markets says at the IESE Banking conference in Madrid. ING entered Spain in 1999 as a telephone bank and is now almost fully digital, operating with only 29 branches nationwide. Alfonso Tolcheff explains that the group chose Madrid to establish a new technology hub and plans to create one thousand STEM jobs in the next four years, reinforcing its commitment to the region.
