June 2 - (The Insurer) - Munich Re Specialty – North America has named Kevin Johnson as chief underwriting officer.
Johnson has worked at Munich Re since 2009. In late 2023, he was handed the expanded role of head of North American insurance programs at Munich Re Specialty Insurance.
Munich Re Specialty said that Johnson in his new role as CUO “will be responsible for driving underwriting excellence, strengthening portfolio performance and supporting the strategic growth of our specialty lines.”
The Insurer was first to report in February that Greg Hohman had left his role as Munich Re Specialty’s CUO. Golden Bear Insurance Company last month named Hohman as its CUO.
