Accredited names Wood to lead UK and Europe reinsurance

June 3 - (The Insurer) - Accredited Insurance Program Management has appointed Jon Wood as head of reinsurance for the UK and Europe, the company said on Monday.

Wood joins specialty program insurer Accredited following a ten-month stint at CatX as head of origination.

Prior to that, he was an independent retrocession and (re)insurance consultant at VIG Re, having also held roles at Aon and Guy Carpenter.

Announcing the appointment on LinkedIn, Accredited said: "Jon’s background of 20 years in reinsurance and his in-depth knowledge of the market brings fantastic additional expertise and leadership to our reinsurance team, as we accelerate our growth plans and continue to be the leading MGA speciality insurer."
