1238 GMT - U.K. government bonds, or gilts, outperform their eurozone peers following Monday's comments by the Bank of England member Catherine Mann. Mann acknowledged the impact of the BOE's quantitative tightening on monetary policy. Quantitative tightening involves the BOE selling gilts which it bought during previous periods of gilt purchases, or quantitative easing. These comments indicate that Mann could be "more inclined to vote for rate cuts in the future, which is positive for U.K. gilts," XTB's Kathleen Brooks says in a note. The 10-year gilt yields falls 5 basis points to 4.603%, Tradeweb data show. (miriam.mukuru@wsj.com)
