June 2 - (The Insurer) - Risk Placement Services (RPS) has recruited Rick Cullen from Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers (RSUM) as president of its RPS Signature Programs division.

Cullen steps into a role that was previously held by Russell Duffey, who earlier this year was appointed vice president of market relations for Gallagher Specialty Americas.

RPS is the wholesale arm of Arthur J Gallagher, while RPS Signature Programs is focused on delivering admitted and non-admitted proprietary programs for an array of niche industry segments.

Itasca, Illinois-based Cullen has joined RPS Signature Programs having spent the past two years at RSUM. He joined the Ryan Specialty unit in 2023 after spending the previous six years at GuideOne Insurance.

His career also includes time at State Auto’s Rockhill Insurance Company, QBE and Navigators, among others.
