Stelar Metals (ASX:SLB) applied for a new exploration license for the "Wynbring" area, which is considered prospective for heavy mineral sands in South Australia, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

Work programs planned at the license include shallow surface sampling and aircore drilling in the second half of the year.

The firm paid the annual license and administration fees, and it approached the traditional owners to negotiate access onto the tenement for on-ground exploration work.
