Sun Life Financial (SLF) received approval from the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions and the Toronto Stock Exchange for early renewal of its normal course issuer bid to purchase up to 10.6 million shares.
The authorization includes 570,915 shares carried over from its previous buyback program, the company said Wednesday in a statement.
The renewed bid will commence Monday.
