BlockBeats reported today that South Korean star Jun Ji-hyun's husband lost a significant amount after investing 35 billion Korean won in Wemade.
Alpha Asset Management had previously purchased Wemade shares at 34,894 Korean won and 63,887 Korean won per share in October 2023 and January 2024, respectively, totaling 15 billion Korean won and 20 billion Korean won. However, as of June 2nd, Wemade's closing price was only 25,000 Korean won, resulting in an estimated paper loss of up to 15.8 billion Korean won (approximately $11.66 million). The CEO of Alpha Asset Management is Choi Jun-hyuk, who is Jun Ji-hyun's husband, a South Korean actress.
