Hunan Zhongke Electric (SHE:300035) plans to invest 8 billion yuan to construct a production base in Oman, according to a Shenzhen bourse disclosure on Wednesday.
The plant will produce 200,000 tons of lithium-ion battery anode materials every year.
The project will be constructed in two phases, each with a capacity of 100,000 tons per year, with an expected duration of 36 months for each phase.
Meanwhile, the Chinese battery producer postponed its project in Morocco to ensure focused and orderly overseas expansion, the disclosure said.
