UNITIL Corporation has announced the launch of "Safety Town," a new training facility in Kensington, N.H., designed to enhance the skills of utility gas workers by simulating real-world gas leak scenarios. The facility offers a controlled environment where first responders can practice leak detection, troubleshooting, and public safety procedures. Safety Town includes a network of underground natural gas pipes with approximately eight leak points that can be activated for training purposes. This initiative follows Unitil's recent implementation of a comprehensive virtual reality training program, further underscoring their commitment to safety and effective service in New England.
