CHICAGO, June 9 (Reuters) - Spot soybean and corn basis bids were mostly steady to higher at U.S. Midwest river terminals, grain elevators and ethanol plants on Monday, according to a spot check of locations.

• The corn basis improved at a grain elevator in Cincinnati, Ohio, river terminals in Seneca, Illinois and Davenport, Iowa and an ethanol plant in Union City, Indiana.

• The corn basis fell at a grain elevator in Blair, Nebraska.

• Farmers have largely finished planting corn and soybeans.

• The U.S. Department of Agriculture on Monday is slated to issue weekly updates on corn and soy crop condition ratings.
