1255 GMT - Leonardo, the Italian aerospace and defense manufacturer, fell in afternoon trade after a Boeing 787 jet operated by Air India crashed in western India shortly after takeoff. Leonardo manufactures about 14% of the Boeing 787 plane's airframe, including its horizontal stabilizer, both central fuselage sections, frames, shear-ties and various metal alloy machined parts. The Boeing model, known as the Dreamliner, hadn't had a fatal incident in its 14 years of operation. Other European suppliers include Spanish private company Aernnova and Austria-based FACC, which is listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange. Shares in Leonardo are down 0.3% at 48.17 euros.
