The Australian Securities and Investments Commission had the masters of the universe over for a “symposium” on private markets in Sydney on Tuesday evening. ASIC’s Joe Longo hosted a panel with chief executive of the Future Fund, Dr Raphael Arndt, Barrenjoey’s co-executive chairman Guy Fowler and Professor Carole Comerton-Forde from the University of Melbourne.
It was followed by a panel with Apollo’s local head Matthew Michelini, BlackRock’s Jason Collins and UniSuper’s Peter Warne.
