KKR (KKR) and T-Mobile US' (TMUS) acquisition of joint control of US Internet, Ridgeview, and JKT has been approved under the European Union's merger regulations, the European Commission said Monday.
The Commission said the deal is mainly related to the provision of internet fiber services in the US and is expected not to raise competition concerns because the joint venture has "negligible" activities in the European Economic Area.
Shares of KKR and T-Mobile were both up more than 1% in recent trading.
