Bank of Communications (SHA:601328, HKG:3328) completed the issue of 40 billion yuan of bonds on Monday, a same-day Hong Kong bourse filing said.
The issue comprises two types of bonds, the first being 34 billion yuan of four-year fixed-rate bonds carrying a 1.79% coupon rate.
The second type consists of 6 billion yuan of six-year fixed-rate bonds with a coupon rate of 1.88%.
The Chinese lender will use proceeds from the issue to improve its total loss-absorbing capacity.
