Aml3d (ASX:AL3) officially opened a new US wire-arc additive manufacturing technology facility in Ohio, US, according to a Friday Australian bourse on Friday.
The facility produced large-scale, complex, and high-strength metal components using the firm's proprietary manufacturing technology in support of the US Navy's Virginia-class submarine program.
The company plans to hire skilled technicians, engineers, and manufacturing specialists. It will also partner with local educational institutions to develop training programs.
It completed an advanced manufacturing system for the Tennessee Valley Authority in the US.
Aml3d's shares advanced 7% in recent trading on Friday.
