LG Display (KRX:034220) filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Tianma Microelectronics (SHE:000050) in a US court, Yonhap News reported Monday.
The South Korean displaymaker alleges that seven of its patents, including those related to touch integration in mobile displays, were violated by Tianma's liquid-crystal display and organic light-emitting diode products, the report said.
Shares of LG Display rose nearly 2% in recent trade on Tuesday, while those of Tianma Microelectronics fell nearly 1%.
