Changpeng Zhao (frequently known simply as “CZ”), cofounder and former Binance chief executive officer, continues to share his crypto wisdom and experience with the crypto community on his X handle.
In a tweet that came out earlier today, CZ shared what he believes to be a “blockchain killer app.”
Today, Zhao took to the X social media platform (widely known as Twitter in the past few decades) to underscore a ground-breaking application of the blockchain technology. He believes this is fundraising, calling it “a killer app.”
This tweet came as a comment to X user @buidlpad's post about SaharaAI app's recent fundraising success, as it managed to attract $16 million in BNB equivalent and also $59 million in USD1 (a USD-pegged stablecoin launched by World Liberty Financial, associated with U.S. President Trump on the BNB Chain).
The fundraising result surpassed the initial target by 777%, according to the tweet cited by CZ.
“This is a great showcase of its strong utility,” the @buidlpad’s tweet stated. However, CZ later removed that tweet from his X page.
After stepping down as Binance CEO, CZ started a new educational project, Giggle Academy, to offer free online courses in math, English and blockchain to underpriviliged children from developing countries. While serving his four-month prison term on the DoJ and SEC charges in 2024, he started writing a book, which includes his biography, the history of the blockchain sphere and the story of founding Binance. CZ is still working on a draft.
Richard Teng, who took over from CZ as the Binance CEO, has recently shared his thoughts on the important role the world’s pioneer cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, is likely to perform in the future.
Teng expects BTC to remain the flagship crypto asset and “a resilient store of value amid global economic uncertainty.” Besides, he believes that as financial institutions continue to adopt crypto, Bitcoin is likely to play “a bigger role as a hedge and digital gold in diversified portfolios.”
