The settlement also includes a feasibility study exploring the potential sale of existing coal units. Duke Energy Indiana, which serves approximately 920,000 customers and provides about 6,300 megawatts of electric capacity, continues to prioritize reliable, in-state power generation. This initiative aligns with Indiana's goals of maintaining energy resilience and ensuring affordable electricity for residents.
