NLC India's (NSE:NLCINDIA, BOM:513683) wholly-owned subsidiary, NLC India Renewables, received a letter of award for an order of an undisclosed amount from the Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation, according to a Sunday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.
Shares rose 1% in Monday's morning trade.
The contract is for the development of three standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) projects with an aggregate capacity of 250 MW/500 MWh.
The projects will be implemented under the build-own-operate model with viability gap funding support under the state component. These will be located at Ottapidaram, Anuppankulam, and Kayathar in Tamil Nadu.
