China Eastern Airlines' (HKG:0670) board approved the appointment of Li Zhiyong as company vice president, according to a bourse filing Monday.
Shares gained over 2% in afternoon trade Tuesday.
Li is the chief engineer of the company and has previously held several roles at the airline.
