Westgold Resources Limited has announced a significant development in its mining operations with the declaration of a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate for the Fletcher Zone at the Beta Hunt site. The newly identified resource comprises an estimated 2.3 million ounces of gold from 30.97 million tonnes of ore, with an average grade of 2.3 grams per tonne. This milestone, derived from just one kilometer of the Fletcher Zone's apparent seven-kilometer strike, highlights the site's growth potential. Westgold's Managing Director and CEO, Wayne Bramwell, emphasized the transformational opportunity this presents for expanding Beta Hunt's outputs. The company has begun drilling to upgrade the Stage 1 Mineral Resource and is preparing to test the northern extension in the Stage 2 program, aiming for a maiden Ore Reserve by FY26. This initiative marks the beginning of a potentially multi-decade venture, enhancing Westgold's operational scale without contributions from Fletcher, as current mine life already exceeds ten years.
