OGE Energy Corporation is advancing its commitment to energy infrastructure with the transportation of massive new generation units to its Horseshoe Lake Power Plant in Harrah, Oklahoma. This project involves the installation of new natural gas units, set to become operational in late 2026, which will replace two aging units at the facility. With a direct economic impact of $536 million, the initiative aims to enhance grid reliability, improve efficiency, and lower emissions. The project has been unanimously approved by the Oklahoma Corporation Commission and is expected to provide approximately 450 megawatts of generation capacity. The new units, equipped to safely burn hydrogen, will support OG&E's growing service area and contribute to local economic growth. The transport of these large-scale components has been meticulously planned with the collaboration of local and state officials to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
