Smucker Next in Line to Ditch Artificial Dyes -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
06/27

1652 ET - J.M. Smucker is the latest in a string of food companies to commit to removing artificial dyes from its consumer food products. Companies including Kraft Heinz, General Mills, Conagra and Nestle have all pledged to remove artificial dyes in recent days, marking a major win for HHS Secretary RFK Jr., who made eliminating the dyes from the U.S. food supply a hallmark of his "Make America Health Again" agenda. Smucker said the move would impact its sugar-free fruit spreads and ice cream toppings, as well as some Hostess products, and that it also won't sell products with artificial dyes to K-12 schools by the 2026-27 school year.
