Blue Canyon Technologies, a subsidiary of RTX Corporation, has successfully launched a CubeSat to support NASA's ARCSTONE mission. This mission aims to measure lunar spectral reflectance to aid in calibrating space-based imagers for earth observation. The CubeSat, part of Blue Canyon's 66th CubeSat launch and 84th overall, utilizes the company's advanced guidance, navigation, and control systems for precise data collection. The spacecraft was built in Boulder, Colorado, and mission operations will be conducted from Lafayette, Colorado. This effort will enhance the accuracy of remote sensing instruments, leveraging the Moon as a calibration source to improve data quality for future space missions.
