Antipa Minerals (ASX:AZY) said drilling results from the Minyari gold-copper project in Western Australia confirmed a new gold-copper discovery, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The phase one drilling program is scheduled to comprise 288 holes for 34,000 meters, incorporating air core, reverse circulation, and diamond core drilling. The assays were from the first batch of 66 holes completed.
The firm said intercepts encountered during the drilling included 21 meters at 1.8 grams per tonne grade of gold and 0.06% grade of copper from 44 meters down hole, as well as 41 meters at 0.16 g/t grade of gold and 0.15% grade of copper from four meters down hole.
The current drilling program is expected to finish in late July, and results are anticipated to be reported in batches as they become available.
