Jacobs Solutions Inc. has been awarded a new task order under the Superfund and Great Lakes Architect Engineer Services (SFGLAES) contract to advance environmental cleanup and restoration efforts in the Wisconsin Great Lakes area. This new order focuses on a 12-mile stretch of the Milwaukee Estuary, a designated Area of Concern since 1987 due to pollution, habitat loss, and river modifications. Jacobs will perform remedial design, data evaluation, and community involvement tasks to prepare for future remediation efforts targeting contaminated sediment, nonpoint source pollution, and habitat restoration. This initiative is part of Jacobs' continued efforts, building on their longstanding relationship with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to enhance the health and recreational benefits of local waterways.
