Hawsons Iron (ASX:HIO) started a four-month collaborative research project with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
The program received AU$48,750 from Csiro's kick-start program, the filing said.
The project will optimize pellet production from the company's magnetite concentrate and develop a secondary product recovery strategy, the filing added.
