Energy Fuels Inc., a leading U.S. producer of uranium, rare earth elements, and other critical minerals, has announced that its Pinyon Plain uranium mine in Arizona continues to surpass previous production estimates. In the second quarter of 2025, the company mined a total of 638,700 pounds of uranium (U3O8), with 230,661 pounds extracted in June alone. The uranium grades at the mine averaged 3.51% U3O8 in June and 2.23% U3O8 during the entire quarter. Mark S. Chalmers, President and CEO, praised the exceptional performance of the Pinyon Plain mine, noting its potential to be one of the highest-grade uranium deposits mined in U.S. history. The company believes that increased production will likely lower unit production costs, enhancing profitability. Additionally, Energy Fuels is exploring further potential in the mine, currently operating at only 25% of the prospective ore zone's vertical extent. During Q2-2025, Energy Fuels sold 50,000 pounds of U3O8 on the spot market at an average price of $77.00 per pound. The company anticipates selling 140,000 pounds in Q3 and 160,000 pounds in Q4 under long-term utility contracts.
