Canadian Solar Inc.'s subsidiary, Recurrent Energy, has announced the commercial operation of the 1,200 MWh Papago Storage facility in Maricopa County, Arizona. This project, now operational, is providing stored energy to Arizona Public Service, the state's largest electric utility, to support rising electricity demands during the summer. The Papago Storage facility is one of Arizona's largest battery storage projects, enhancing grid reliability and contributing to local community initiatives through tax revenues and the Community CaRE Program. The project was developed with the help of e-STORAGE, Canadian Solar's majority-owned subsidiary, and will be maintained under a long-term service agreement. This milestone is part of a broader effort to diversify Arizona's energy resources and support its growing energy needs.
