Erie Indemnity has returned to normal operations following a cybersecurity incident last month.
The Pennsylvania-based insurance company said Monday that a forensic investigation of the incident found no evidence that any sensitive personal information, financial records or legally protected data was breached.
The company had first identified unusual network activity on June 7, and activated incident response measures to safeguard its systems. The cyberattack was one of multiple to hit insurance companies in recent weeks, with Aflac and Philadelphia Insurance also targeted with similar attacks.
