Environmental Group (ASX:EGL) secured an order for the design and construction of a AU$1.9 million per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) plant, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

This is the first order for the company's PFAS treatment technology, and is expected to be fulfilled by the end of the year, the filing said.

Shares rose nearly 6% in morning trade Wednesday.
