CFM International Gets $2.85B U.S. Defense Contract for Engine Supplies

CFM International, a joint venture between GE Aerospace and a unit of Safran, has won a contract for up to $2.85 billion to provide engine supplies for U.S. military aircraft.

Under the contract, the company will provide F108 engine supplies to the Air Force and Navy, the Defense Department said Tuesday.

The contract ends Oct. 31, 2029 and includes an option to extend by five years, the department said.

CFM is a joint venture between GE Aerospace and Safran Aircraft Engines, part of the French aerospace firm Safran. It is headquartered in Cincinnati.
