X account @XRPwallets, which often publishes on-chain XRP or RLUSD data, or important analysis related to Ripple, has published a list of the top cryptocurrency exchanges by the size of the XRP bag they hold.
Notably, two of the largest crypto exchanges, Binance and Coinbase, are not in the leading positions here. Binance sits in second place with 2.735 billion XRP in its wallets, while Coinbase is located slightly further from the top and is in fifth place, holding 780.13 million XRP.
The largest XRP stash is held by the largest South Korean exchange Upbit – 6.038 billion XRP. Third place is occupied by U.S.-based exchange Upbit – 1.907 billion XRP.
This list also contains such crypto exchanges as Bithumb, Bitbank, Coincheck, Etoro and Crypto.com.
Two hours ago, blockchain sleuth Whale Alert, which monitors large cryptocurrency transfers, spotted two massive crypto chunks getting moved. Both transactions carried an approximately equal amount of crypto: 50,527,326 XRP and 50,520,869 XRP, worth $230.8 million cumulatively.
The sender wallets in both transactions were tagged by Whale Alert as anonymous, while the destination addresses were mentioned as Coinbase and an unknown wallet.
However, the above-mentioned @XRPwallets account commented on these transfers, saying that the first transfer was sent to Coinbase from another Coinbase wallet, which makes it an internal XRP transfer. As for the second transaction, the 50,520,869 XRP were sent to Coinbase from a Bitstamp sub wallet.
