Shares of Copper Miners Fall Despite Rise in Copper Price

The stock price of copper miners fell in recent trading on Thursday after the price for the metal rose following US President Trump's declaration of a 50% tariff on copper effective Aug. 1.

The shares of Capstone Copper (ASX:CSC) and Sandfire Resources (ASX:SFR) fell past 1% each.

Copper futures rose to about $5.60 per pound on Thursday, up 1.6%.
