July 10 - (The Insurer) - QBE Re has announced several senior leadership appointments across its regional markets and product lines.

The company said on Thursday that Abdallah Balbeisi, Mark Jackaman and Salvatore Sama have been named as executive directors for EMEA, international (Lloyd’s and Bermuda) and North America, respectively.

All three are internal promotions. Balbeisi joined from Aspen in 2020, while Jackaman has spent the past 13 years with QBE Re. Sama joined QBE's reinsurance unit from Swiss Re in 2021.

Jane Farren will lead the global casualty product segment, while Shane Lawlor and Andy Richardson will head up global specialty and global property, respectively. Their roles include setting underwriting appetite, managing QBE Re's product portfolios and deploying capacity across markets.

Richardson will also take on the role of general manager, Bermuda, while Tracey Gibbons has been named global head of strategic development.
