Stock futures were trading lower Thursday as Wall Street monitored the latest tariff announcements from President Donald Trump after the previous day's Nvidia-led rally lifted the Nasdaq Composite to a record closing high.

These stocks were poised to make moves Thursday:

Nvidia was up 0.5% in premarket trading after the leading maker of artificial-intelligence chips rose 1.8% on Wednesday to a record close of $162.88 and finished with a market capitalization of $3.974 trillion, the highest market value for any company on record, according to Dow Jones Market Data. Apple had held the previous record of $3.915 trillion. Nvidia's market value reached $4 trillion during Wednesday's session, the first company ever to top that mark. Nvidia has risen four out of the past five trading days and has gained 21% in 2025.

Broadcom, meanwhile, finished Wednesday up 2.2% at a record $277.90, and closed with a market cap of $1.307 trillion, surpassing $1.3 trillion for the first time. The stock gained 0.2% in premarket trading. Shares of the semiconductor and software company have risen 20% this year.

WK Kellogg soared 49% after The Wall Street Journal reported Italian candy maker Ferrero was nearing a deal to buy the cereal company for $3 billion. Family-owned Ferrero could finalize the deal for Kellogg, the company behind Froot Loops and Frosted Flakes cereals, as soon as this week, said people familiar with the matter.

Autodesk is considering an acquisition of rival engineering-software provider PTC, Bloomberg reported. Autodesk has been working with advisers to evaluate a cash-and-stock deal for PTC, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg. PTC also is drawing interest from other industry players, the report added. PTC shares were down 2.5% in premarket trading after rising 18% following publication of the report. Autodesk declined 2.5%.

Nurix Therapeutics jumped 47% after the biopharmaceutical company reported fiscal second-quarter revenue of $44.1 million, up from $12.1 million a year earlier. Analysts had been expecting revenue of $17.5 million.

Costco Wholesale said retail sales for the five weeks ended July 6, rose 8% from a year earlier to $26.44 billion, snapping a string of five consecutive months of slowing sales growth. Same-store sales rose 5.8% in the retail month of June, the warehouse retailer said. E-commerce sales jumped 11.5%. Shares were up 0.7%.

Earnings reports are expected Thursday from Delta Air Lines, Conagra Brands, Levi Strauss, PriceSmart, Simply Good Foods, and WD-40.

Delta was down 0.2% in premarket trading. The carrier is scheduled to report second-quarter earnings before the stock market opens Thursday. A focus for investors will be what Delta has to say about summer travel and overall demand.
