Chinese electric vehicle maker Zeekr became the latest auto manufacturer to launch plug-in hybrids, narrowing the list of pure EV producers in China, the South China Morning Post reported Wednesday.
The 9X, Zeekr's very first hybrid model, will reportedly cost 600,000 yuan and have a range of 380 kilometers, the report said.
The Geely Automobile-owned (HKG:0175) company will begin deliveries of the model in Q3, SCMP reported.
Zeekr's transition from a pure EV manufacturer to one that's making hybrids leaves NIO (HKG:9866, SGX:NIO) as the only domestic company producing only electric cars.
Tesla, which produces cars in the mainland, is the another maker of pure EVs, the report said.
