BHP Group's (ASX:BHP) venture capital arm BHP Ventures participated in Boston Metal's $51 million convertible note investment, according to a Thursday statement.

Boston Metal plans to use the funds from the note will support the deployment of the second phase of its critical metals plant in Brazil, which is expected to come online in mid-2026.
