St Barbara (ASX:SBM) found gold mineralization during a recent drilling at its Simberi Operations in Papua New Guinea, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
The results were of up to eight meters at 18.9 grams per tonne gold from 54 meters, including three meters at 45.9 g/t gold from 56 meters and 55 meters at 1.2 g/t gold from 121 meters, including six meters at 3.5 g/t gold from 148 meters.
Assay results remain pending for 20 diamond drill holes, including from Samat, two from Pigibo North, two from Pigicow-Botlu, three from Pigiput Northeast Trend, and two from Pigibo-Botlu, the filing added.
The company's shares rose nearly 1% in recent Friday trade.
